About
A publication that shows its work
Last updated 2026-10-23
eDossier covers who owns, funds and controls competitive gaming organisations. The first vertical is esports: team ownership, league governance, capital and the people who sign the decisions. Later verticals reuse the same section set and the same evidence rules.
Why this exists
Coverage of esports money is abundant and poorly sourced: a funding figure repeated across a dozen outlets that all trace back to one press release, an ownership change inferred from a logo on a jersey. The interesting questions — who actually holds equity, who votes it, who can remove a director — are usually answerable from filings, and rarely answered.
How it is built
The publication runs on a claims-and-evidence core: sources carry locators and lineage, claims carry attribution and time, dossiers compose those claims by reference. Research is drafted with machine assistance, but nothing is published by a machine: review and publication are separate, logged human acts. The working prototype of that workflow is available as a demo, clearly separated from this publication.
Independence and funding
There are no sponsors today. When sponsorship exists it is labelled, kept out of ranking and layout decisions, and never allowed to influence evidence grading or analytic confidence — see the sponsored content policy. The publication takes no payment for coverage, and no dossier is commissioned by its subject.
Corrections
We get things wrong. Corrections are published as revisions with a visible log, per the methodology. Write to hello@edossier.tech.
Status
v0.1, October 2026. No dossier has passed publication review yet; the records visible in the catalog are labelled demonstration records. That is stated here, on the homepage, and in every record, so nobody has to discover it by clicking around.
